Of je nu begon
In de wondere wereld der woestijn
Waar Egyptische piramides schitteren in de zon
Of door het Franse land struint, plompverloren
Op zoek naar L’Amour rondom de Eiffeltoren
Onderweg in een groots avontuur
Al wandelend over de Chinese muur
Om vervolgens cultureel te worden bevangen
Luisterend naar de Sydney Opera House gezangen
Adembenemend is het vrijheidsbeeld
Waarvan de boodschap luidt: ‘Wees niet verdeeld’
Sommigen wagen zich nog verder in ons paradijs
En bevinden zich in Antarctica op glad ijs
Nog steeds ongerept en onontgonnen
Maar het smelten is wel begonnen
Het maakt niet uit waar je gaat of staat
Tegenwoordig leg je elk moment vast op de gevoelige plaat
En dat delen we meteen en ook het meest
Zonder foto of nog beter “selfie” ben je er niet geweest
Naar welk continent je verlangen ook mag gaan
Of we nou leven onder de wolken of onder de maan
We moeten aan elkaar blijven denken
Elkander liefde, vrijheid en geluk schenken
Alleen dan zullen we blijven bestaan

On the road in a grand adventure,
Walking along the Great Wall of China,
Only then to be culturally enchanted,
Listening to the songs of the Sydney Opera House,
Breathtaking is the Statue of Liberty,
Whose message proclaims: “Do not be divided,”
Some venture even further into our paradise,
Finding themselves on thin ice in Antarctica,
Still untouched and unexplored,
Yet the melting has already begun,
It does not matter where you go or stand,
Nowadays you capture every moment on camera,
And we share it instantly, more than ever,
Without a photo—or better yet, a “selfie”—you haven’t truly been there,
No matter which continent your longing takes you to,
Whether we live beneath the clouds or under the moon,
We must continue to think of one another,
Grant each other love, freedom, and happiness,
Only then will we continue to exist.
